Care: it's really simple.

Bembé parquet flooring is naturally robust and resistant and withstands dust, dirt, dry central-heating air and other loads. And is all the more grateful if you show it a little attention now and then. We'll gladly show you what you can do to ensure that you can enjoy the specially vibrant charm and character of your parquet flooring for many, many years.

Caring for varnished floors

First use: Remove dust with a mop, broom or vacuum cleaner. Then wipe down with a damp cloth (not wet). Add Bembé neutral cleaner if necessary. A suitable environment-friendly dispersion-based liquid wax (e.g. BEMBAL) provides your parquet flooring with care and protection. When using for the first time, apply Bembal to the dry, carefully cleaned parquet flooring in a thin, even layer using a nonwoven cloth. Do not rub in. A matt satin layer emerges after about 20 minutes that protects the parquet. Repeat if necessary. After the finish has dried, it can be polished for more gloss.

On-going cleaning and care: After removing dust and dirt, add BEMBAL (approx. 300 ml to 10 l water) and wipe the floor with a damp cloth (not wet) and leave to dry. Possibly use a mop, blocker or floor polisher to create the desired gloss. This refreshes Bembal's protection effect. Proceed as follows for older sealed parquet already treated with wax containing solvent (e.g. WAX Refresher). Cleaning: remove dust with mop, broom or vacuum cleaner. Wipe down with a damp cloth if necessary. Shake the WAX Refresher well. Apply in a very thin layer and polish after approx. 30 minutes. Avoid contact with naked flames.

Care of flooring sealed with hard wax

First use: We recommend treating the parquet with our WAX Refresher for the first time after 10 to 14 days. This makes the flooring even more hardwearing. Before applying the WAX Refresher for the first time, carefully remove any dust and dirt from the surface. You can also wipe the floor with a damp cloth (not wet). Add Bembé neutral cleaner if necessary to deal with more stubborn dirt. Then apply Bembé WAX Refresher sparingly in a thin layer. WAX Refresher can be polished in during or after drying.

On-going cleaning and care: Occasionally after cleaning the floor carefully with Beowax, add wiping wax (approx. 100 to 200 ml each 10 l water) to the water and wipe the floor with a damp cloth (not wet). This prolongs the protection of your parquet flooring. We recommend applying our WAX Refresher regularly in neat state to parquet flooring subject to heavy use.

Care of parquet flooring sealed in the factory

First use: We recommend that care is applied before the first heavier use. To do so, add Tabis Parquet Care to clean water (approx. 200 ml to 10 l water). Wipe the floor carefully and leave to dry. Do not leave any water standing on the parquet. Do not walk on the surface. Leave the parquet flooring time to dry thoroughly.
